This is one of the cards that our guests did at yesterday's Sale-a-Bration workshop using the Punch Bunch stamp set and Ice Cream Parlor DSP, both of which are items that you can only earn FREE by purchasing $50 in Stampin' Up products through the end of March!  The owl and Happy Birthday images both have coordinating punches.

Treat Portfolio outside

Treat Portfolio inside

Here's yet another version of Kira's treat portfolio, so versatile!!!  We are holding our Sale-a-Bration workshop tomorrow, and the lucky attendees will be making this portfolio along with three cards that use exclusive Sale-a-Bration products.  Our great friend and Las Vegas Crafty Girl, Irene, is also hosting a Sale-a-Bration workshop at her Crafty Girls lair on Wednesday, 2/2!  If you haven't visited her blog, please do.  You will be very impressed, as "crafty" doesn't even begin to describe her talents!  Even if you can't join the festivities, we hope you'll be inspired by the treat portfolio!

Recycled Treat Container

These great treat ideas were made using empty Crystal Light containers.  We thought the Artistic Etchings set and the Love Letter DSP provided the perfect images and color combination for an expression of "amour".
And, the container is a nice size to include plenty of chocolate for the ones you love!  The hanging tag idea came from Chiaki Haverstick's (http://www.stampingpro.com/) beautiful card:

Watercolor Beauty

The bright color combination of this card is sure to put anyone in a cheerful mood!  The watercolor image is from the two-step hostess level 2 Fast & Fabulous set.  For those of you who aren't familiar with "two-step", there are two separate stamps used to create the image, one is the outline and the other is the inside detail.  The sentiment is from Fabulous Phrases and it's punched out using the curly label punch.

Let's Sale-a-Brate!

It's the 1st day of Stampin' Up!'s annual Sale-a-Bration event!!!  WOO HOO!!!  How generous is Stampin' Up! to give you a free Sale-a-Bration product (or you can select from a list of stamps from the 2010-11 IB&C) for every $50 you purchase, or for every $300 in workshop sales when you host an in-home workshop!  Today's card was made with one of the stamps from the Punch Bunch set, which happens to be one of the special SAB sets!  The card design comes from the Mojo Monday 175 Challenge:
The Perfect Details texture plate was used for the Marina Mist accent, the Certainly Celery accent across it was made using the dotted scallop ribbon punch, and glimmer brads were added to give the card just the right amount of bling!

Butterfly Prints Birthday

This card features an image from the Butterfly Prints set and the sentiment is from Curly Cute.  The butterflies were punched out using the butterfly punch and then tied with 1/8" taffeta ribbon to make the antennas (that doesn't seem like the right spelling, so excuse us if it isn't - HA!).  The scallop trim border and 2 1/2" circle punches were also used.  Although the DSP is from the retired Sweet Pea collection, any DSP can be substituted.

Heartfelt Love

The I {Heart} Hearts set makes it perfect to express "heart"felt love!  The specialty DSP is from the Love
Impressions collection in the Occasions mini catalog.  The "heartfelt" stamp comes from the Fabulous Phrases set.  Various punches were used for the heart images and sentiment.

I'm Here for You Card

The design for this card came from stampingpro.com  Our adaptation uses DSP from the Love Letter collection, the Medallion and En Francais background stamps, and sentiments from the hostess level 3 Occasional Quotes set.  We loved the refreshing tri-fold design.

Mojo Monday Challenge - Week 174

In keeping up with her New Year's Resolution, isn't Kira's card beautiful?!  She created this using the Mojo Monday #174 sketch shown above.  The color combination (Sahara Sand, Early Espresso, and Cherry Cobbler) is rich and elegant.  The Always stamp set was used for the images and the Cherry Cobbler layer was embossed with the Finial Press folder.  Early Espresso satin ribbon completes the look!

Lots of Layers Thank You Card

Got punches?!  This card certainly does!  The scallop square comes from the Sizzix scallop squares duo die.  All of the rest of the shapes are from punches.  The sentiment is from the Occasional Quotes level 3 hostess set and the patterned paper is from the level 1 hostess In Color DSP pack.  A pair of basic pearls complete the card.

Masculine Birthday Card

Many times we hear from our customers that masculine birthday cards are difficult to design.  We hope this tri-fold card can serve as inspiration.  Although the photo doesn't show it well, the image (from Baroque Motifs) was inked with Soft Suede and then the edges were rolled in Night of Navy ink before being stamped on Naturals Ivory cardstock.  The words are from the Fundamental Phrases set.

A "Tweet" Poppy Parade Card

A "tweet" goes out to Kira for staying on top of her New Year's resolution of making a card a day, thanks to her we've had some ideas to post here.  The cute bird comes from the Cheep Talk stamp set, and it sits inside a 2 1/2" polka dot embossed circle with the full heart punched out of it.  The striped background DSP comes from the level 1 In Color paper pack, and the card is completed with some 1/2" stitched poly Poppy Parade ribbon.

Acrylic Christmas Ornaments

We know Christmas is past; however, we wanted you to see these cool ornaments that Kira made with acrylic discs.  She was inspired by acrylic ornaments that we received from our friend and fellow SU! demonstrator, Jason.  Here is one of the ornaments Jason sent
He used the Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio program to create the images and then attached it to the back of an acrylic block.  We will definitely be doing these ornaments as a Christmas project this year!  Thanks again Jason for the great idea and inspiration!

We realize it's Wednesday; however, here is our entry for the Mojo Monday #173 Sketch Challenge

In Color Thank You Card

This card pairs two of the wonderful In Colors, Concord Crush and Peach Parfait, along with the Just Believe stamp set and the Big Shot.  The Whisper White background was embossed with the square lattice folder and the scalloped square was die cut with the scallop squares duo Bigz die.  Punches used were the ticket corner, word window, modern label, and corner rounder.  Basic rhinestones embellish the corners of the scalloped square.

Happy Anniversary Lacey & Rudy!

Today is Lacey & Rudy's (Scot's sister-in-law & brother-in-law) 6th anniversary!  This simple card, which incorporates the owl punch and Woodland Walk DSP, wishes them much happiness on their special day (and many more to come!)!  The bird punch was used for the tree branches, the sentiment is from A Word for You, and the pinking hearts punch was used for the bottom of the Very Vanilla layer.  We wish them many years of wedded bliss!

Happy Saturday!

As you have seen from our projects here, we LOVE the Big Shot!  This card was made using the scallop square die and then layered with polka-dot embossed cardstock strips.  The variety of patterned hearts are from the I {Heart} Hearts set.  Although the "from the heart" sentiment is from a retired set, a different sentiment can easily be substituted.  The Early Espresso satin ribbon is embellished with a few basic pearls.

Another Card for Tanner

Here's another card in honor of Tanner's birthday yesterday (Kira did this one).  This one also uses the Celebrations DSP along with a stamp from the On Your Birthday set.  The sentiment was punched out with the curly label punch, then layered on a 2 3/8" scallop and 2 1/2" circle.

Happy Birthday, Tanner!

Today is Tanner's (Kira's son) 17th birthday, so this is the card that Scot created for him.  It was personalized by using a Sizzlit alphabet strip die (non-SU, sorry) using the Big Shot.  The letters on the front were decorated using the Signo white gel pen.  The card started with a 6" x 12" piece of Pacific Point cardstock and was then folded into thirds to make a gift card pocket inside - the final measurement is 4" x 6".  The DSP is from the Celebrations collection.

For a Friend

This card was inspired by Mary Fish's layout for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge.  Our design incorporates the I {Heart} Hearts set along with some of the Poppy Parade In Color Patterns DSP.  The hearts are punched using the full heart and heart to heart punches.  The large heart is then layered on a 2 3/8" scallop and a 2 1/2" circle.

Wish Big Cupcake Card

Like yesterday's post, this card was also made with the Big Shot, and will be one of the projects for January's Big Shot Club.  The Bigz XL die cuts the cupcake card, the wavy bottom holder (complete with score lines), the cherry, and a candle (not pictured).  We used the new red glimmer paper from the Stampin' Up Occasions mini catalog (which starts TODAY!) for the cherry.  The glittered paper only comes in red at this time, but it is awesome because it doesn't come off (mess-free glitter...WOOHOO!), and it's sold in a package of two 12"x12" sheets.  What a great way to add shimmer to your die-cut and punched images! We also added extra shimmer to the edge of the cupcake frosting with silver glass glitter, a treasure that originally appeared in the Holiday mini and has been carried over (with additional colors available) to the Occasions mini!  The "Wish Big" sentiment is from the Word Play set and the inside sentiment is from the Full of Life set.  The bottom holder and red inside cardstock layer were run through the paper crimper.  We wrapped a piece of Real Red 1/8" taffeta ribbon around the bottom holder.

We "LOVE" Movers & Shapers Dies

This is another one of our January Big Shot Club projects - it was made using the heart-shaped magnetic Movers & Shapers die for the Big Shot.  The heart can be cut out from any position on the front of the card when used with the Movers & Shapers card die.  The beautiful letters are from the Jayne's Type Alphabet set, and then they were punched out with the coordinating heart punch.  The edge of the Early Espresso border was punched using the Pinking Hearts border punch.  It is accented with some of the Chantilly 1/2" crochet trim.

Critter Thank You Card

Once again, we are so sad to see the Merry Crittermas stamp set retiring along with the Holiday mini catalog on January 3rd.  This simple thank you note incorporates some of the Jolly Holiday DSP along with the cuddly critter image from the set.  The critter was colored with a blender pen and coordinating classic ink pads.

Love Is In The Air

This is one of the cards we'll be doing for January's Big Shot Club.  The front was done using the Lots of Love Letterpress plate in the Big Shot.  Full disclosure: after trying the letterpress plates initially the way that Stampin' Up! recommends (using Craft ink and brayer for application), we vowed never to demonstrate them to our customers.  Luckily, one of our fellow demonstrators shared with us how he had used one with a Versamark pad and the tackiness of the ink helped it adhere without slipping.  So we tried it, and were pleased with the results (although we would still recommend using repositionable adhesive to stick the cardstock to the top cutting plate).  Out of all the texture plates, this one is our favorite, as the design of the different fonts really creates a beautiful background, or the words can be cut or punched out and used alone.  The colors are hard to decipher in the photo - we used Pretty In Pink for the card base and layered with Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo.  The ribbon is 5/8" Rich Razzleberry satin with 1/8" Pretty In Pink taffeta on top.

Snowflake Wishes Thank You Card

Everyone needs to say "thank you" during the holiday season. The Snowflake Wishes bundle makes it easy! The die-cut image creates ...
