Scallop Circle Flowers

This is one of the many cards that we made during our stamping sessions in our hotel room at the annual Stampin Up Convention this past July.  The flowers are made with scallop circles punched from cardstock.  The scallop circles are then run through the crimper several times to break down the fibers so the two layers can be peeled apart.  After peeling each of them apart, we inked the edges, stacked them together, secured them with a brad in the center, and then ruffled them up.  This photo really doesn't do them justice because they are amazing in person.  The base cardstock layer is embossed with the Elegant Bouquet Sizzix embossing folder, the leaves are punched wings from the XL Two Step Bird punch.  The just for you sentiment is from the Just Believe stamp set (that we received as part of our convention registration fee - LOVE IT), and it's punched with the word window and layered on to the modern label.  We added a couple of the new basic rhinestone jewels on either side.

Wish Big with Movers and Shapers Dies

Today's card features the Sizzix Movers and Shapers die, which is very cool because it cuts and scores the card, and then depending upon which shape you choose, it cuts that out of the front of the card.  As you can see, we used the star, and the magnetic die cuts it slightly larger than our XL star punch.  We folded back a section of the front and secured it with some of the awesome NEW 1/8 inch taffeta ribbon.  The greeting is from the Word Play stamp set and it's layered on a scallop circle from the new 2 3/8 inch XL scallop circle punch, surrounded by small stars (sorry, that punch has been retired).  The color combination (Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry) comes from the new Color Coach (see photo below), which has proven to be a fun new toy and forces us out of our color comfort zone.  Have a wonderful day and don't you forget to "Wish BIG!".

More Cards Using Summer Mini Retiring Items

The first card features the Birthday Block a la carte stamp, the July Fourth stamp set, and the Island Oasis DSP.
The second card features the Go Graduate stamp set.

And the last four all feature the Watercolor Trio (did I mention that's one of our favorite sets and we're sad that it won't be available after August 31st?!), and the last one uses the "t" from the Rough Type Alphabet set.  All of the cards featured today were stamped by Kira when she went to visit our wonderful friend, Patty, in Omaha, NE, in April.  Once again, you only have two days left to order any of these retiring items from the Summer mini.

Island Oasis Scrapbook Pages

This set of 12x12 pages use Stampin Up Island Oasis Designer Series Paper, which will be gone after August 31st.  It's colorful palette is sure to brighten up any scrapbook, card, or other paper crafting project you may have in mind!

And this memo board is a perfect addition to any kitchen, bedroom, or school locker. In addition to the Island Oasis DSP, it uses the Decor Elements Curly Label chalkboard vinyl!  Stampin Up suggests using chalk pens, which we found at our local craft store.

Final Days for the Summer Mini

Don't miss out on your favorite stamp sets (like one of ours - Watercolor Trio) and other wonderful accessories (like the Island Oasis Designer Series Paper) from the Summer mini catalog, order before August 31st!
Although this card uses a couple of retired colors (Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay), it also has a few current colors (Soft Suede, Rich Razzleberry, and Melon Mambo), and they all coordinate so well together along with the Watercolor Trio stamp set.

We have an Island Oasis class on Sunday, 8/29, where we'll be making this mini album and Summer wall hanging.  The mini album was one of the projects that we learned at our Late Night Stamper events that we attended before the Stampin Up Convention this year.

This card incorporates three of the great new 2010 In Colors - Pear Pizzazz, Concord Crush, and Peach Parfait, along with one of the new colors in the Brights Collection, Daffodil Delight.  The Big Shot is the perfect tool to create a simple card!

Stampin Up Mini Milk Carton Owl

Here's one of our club projects for August.  The two-step owl punch is so versatile and "perches" nicely on this mini milk carton die stamped with the Woodgrain background stamp.

Welcome to Stampin Siblings

We're glad you stopped by to see our Stampin Up creations. We want to give special recognition to our great friend Sherrill Graff and our Late Night Stamper group for so many wonderful ideas and for the opportunity to attend special stamping events before Convention each year. Here's a link to a few of Sherrill's blogs, where there is more information about the 2011 Late Night Stamper events:
